In a 2018 installation presented by Philadelphia Contemporary, I explored themes of colonialism, opulence, and the futility of overseas American conflicts, and anti-war activists. Through partnerships, I transformed the Lemon Hill mansion into a floor-to-ceiling installation with imageries of past and present, east and west, and war and peace.
Lemon Hill became a space to reflect on activism's role in rectifying history's mistakes and art's power to envision scientific frontiers. My work includes 24 tapestry paintings that unite into one monumental theater backdrop. Dimensions variable. See other images below.

A NEW STUDIO
My last show at Locks Gallery featured work done here -
a pole barn surrounded by apple orchards. This beautiful studio in South Central Pennsylvania allows me to accomplish painting in all scales and ceramic sculpture. I keep a studio in Philadelphia, where my work can be contemplated. In the last four months in Philadelphia, I have been creating a distemper on muslin 20 foot work.

I am creating Renaissance-style tapestry cartoons (on muslin in distemper) to juxtapose, to display some of the cultural sources and resonances of this violence (for example the stoning of St. Stephen or the images of supplication, as a place holder for pleading for life).
